33" x 9" Largemouth Bass (Micropterus salmoides) carved from 120 year-old sold white oak barnwood. Sanded smooth and stained in cherry with two coats of varnish, this unique sculpture shows off the gorgeous grain of the wood.
This original one-of-a-kind sculpture would make the perfect gift for any fisherman (or woman!) or would look beautiful as a centerpiece on your wall.
The backside has been left raw and includes hooks and wire for hanging and my signature. Suggested for hanging indoors only.
The wood originates from a dilapidated barn in East Tennessee which I took down myself (see our blog page). Each piece has been carefully selected, treated organically with borax and cedar oil, and stored out of the elements.
I feel each board has a story to tell and I want that story to come out in my art work.
